I think that farther up Godzilla's family tree, one of his ancestors could have literally ate a star and gave him what we know as "Atomic Breath", and Godzilla could have actually had a sibling who went a little too crazy on the radiation, and Mothra DNA could have been mixed in with Godzilla's sibling's DNA. Resulting in; wings, crystals, and super atomic breath. But later on, he was probably banished into a deeper part of Hollow Earth (Deeper than where Skar King lived).
